The International Research Training Group (IRTG1902) “Intra- and interorgan communication of the cardiovascular system” was a research alliance of the Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf and the Cardiovascular Research Center at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, USA, funded by the DFG from from 2013 - 2023. dedicated to promote international training of doctoral researchers.

The IRTG 1902 consisted of Principal Investigators of the Heinrich Heine University and the Leibniz Research Institute for Environmental Medicine (IUF), doctoral researchers and doctoral researchers in medicine.
